Batang Auckland – young Pinoy writers share their stories

‘No matter what challenges we face, whether its natural disasters, economic struggles, or even personal hardships, Filipinois always find a way to rise above and support each other.’ (Akisha)

Last project of the year working with Filipino young people at Tangaroa College. What a great blessing learning about Filipino culture from these inspirational youth and hearing their stories about what it’s like leaving home, family, and friends to come to Aotearoa for a new life. They are so proud of their Filipino heritage and have so much to offer NZ as well. You can purchase a copy of the book here: https://readingwarrior.com/product/batang-auckland/

Salamat Imeleta Faumuina and Tangaroa College.
