Sylvia Park School

I had an awesome visit to Sylvia Park School today sharing important messages of encouragement with them. Here’s what the school posted about it on their Facebook page:

Today our Sylvia Park learners were truly inspired! We were lucky to have author David Riley visit and speak with our Year 4–6 and Year 7–8 students. He shared his journey as a writer and reminded us all that no barrier should ever stop you from doing what you love. It was the perfect way to kick off book week next week! Our tamariki walked away knowing that their stories, voices and dreams are important — and that with passion and perseverance, they can achieve anything. David has always made time for SPS and has been a part of the SPS whānau for many years. Thank you, David, for showing us the power of writing and the courage to keep going!

Reach out if you’d like me to come and encourage your students to believe in themselves too by sharing my journey which is relevant to them in the challenges I have been through along the way.

Facing a haka is the best feeling man!
