Description:

Can a book change a person’s life? We’re going to learn about two people whose lives were changed by reading: one by a book about rocks, the other – Kiwi NBA star Steven Adams. We’re also going to look at how reading and writing are a part of everyone’s lives, even professional athletes like the Black Ferns, All Blacks and New Zealand Warriors. I’ll also give some tips on how to find cool books to read.

This workshop will motivate students to reconsider what reading can do for their lives.

These young people who I’ve not seen in the library before came after your talk saying, “Miss do you have any books for me because I need to change my life!” Thank you David for an inspirational session.
