Ngā Tamaiti Rangatira is a collection of writing by young people from the Tipu Whare program at Panama Road School. I helped these rangatahi share their thoughts about life, their dreams and the special people they admire. Look how proud they are to be honoured and celebrated as they should be as children of chiefs!
Look at the pride and joy in these children as they read a book they wrote. I worked with Room 12 at Weymouth School and helped them publish a book they wrote and illustrated. This looks like their favourite book 🙂
They’re known for their rugby but young men at Hastings Boys’ High School are readers too. It was inspiring sharing with them today as part of a Read NZ Writers in Schools visit.
