Presented at South Pacific Language and Literature Conference on Friday. Man, intimidating! There I was, a palagi, speaking in front of Albert Wendt, Reina Whaitiri, Robert Sullivan, Selina Tusitala Marsh, Lani Wendt-Young, Grace Taylor, Michelle Johansson, Mua Strickson-Pua . . . Reina said that the work of palagi researchers and historians is “necessary but problematic”. That’s exactly how I feel! But so blessed to be able to connect with such awesome people.

Meitaki ma’ata David. Fantastic! We have just been up to a CNZ conference in Auckland about Arts for, with and by Young people. I think you should have presented at that too. Sorry we didn’t get a chance to get to see you it was very busy. Would love to see/read about your presentation.
Keep up the great work.
